Sign Moratorium

I have had mostly positive comments about the the sign moratorium that has been imposed in Craven County. A few business owners have expressed concern that it might hurt them but after they read it thay realized that it would not affect on site signs in a negative way.

Sign Moratorium

The highway corridor between New Bern and Havelock has over 90 billboards. Many residents feel that the sheer number of billboards detracts from the area and could hurt property values. Last night the County Commissioners imposed a 6 month moratorium on new billboards that will allow them time to write a sign ordinance to regulate road side signs.

Beautiful weather

This has been the mildest fall/winters that I can remember. I am looking out side this morning and wondering if I am going to boat, kayak, or play golf. Hope the weather is fine where you are.

Crazy Real Estate Prices

The crazy real estate prices in New Bern, NC are finally leveling out. Even waterfront homes, which seemed to be doubling every 2 years are holding steady. This will be good for the locals who were getting priced out of the market. Much of the real estate sold in the past 5 years was purchased by out of state people.
